Volunteering is any activity which:
- Anyone can undertake of their own free will
- is unpaid
- has many social, professional, physical and personal benefit
When a person chooses to volunteer, they steer the process and they decide where they volunteer, the type of organisation and opportunity they get involved with and for how long.
The role of Kilkenny Volunteer Centre is to:
- advise people about what volunteering involves
- inform people about available volunteer opportunities
- enable people to get involved in volunteering
Our service is free and there is no expectation on any person accessing the service to volunteer.
