As part of National Volunteering Week, Kilkenny Volunteer Centre was proud to host a special community celebration in the beautiful surrounds of Hotel Kilkenny. Despite the typical Irish weather, the event was a warm and uplifting occasion that brought together volunteers, community groups, and supporters from across the county.

The evening was a chance to acknowledge and thank the many people who give their time, energy, and heart to helping others. From local clubs and charities to neighbours supporting neighbours, volunteers are the backbone of community life in Kilkenny.

This year’s theme, “Building Community Together”, was evident in every conversation, smile, and handshake on the night. Volunteers don’t just offer help – they build connections, create a sense of belonging, and shape a stronger Kilkenny for everyone.
