Kilkenny Volunteer Centre will be hosting The Fundamentals of Volunteer Engagement training on:
- Date: Tuesday 28th March & Tuesday 4th April
- Time: 6.30 – 9.30pm
- Venue: St Patrick’s Centre, Deans Gate, Dean Street, Kilkenny, R95 X8N4 (opposite Hehir’s Funeral Home).
This two module course is for those who are new to the topic of volunteer management and leadership or who wish to improve their skillset and you will need to attend both modules.
The sessions are delivered by staff in Kilkenny Volunteer Centre and will cover the following topics:
- Planning for volunteer involvement
- Changes in volunteering
- Diversity and inclusion in volunteering
- Volunteer motivations
- Volunteer and organisation expectations
- Barriers to volunteering
- Volunteer engagement
- Screening and selection
- Day to day engagement of volunteers
Booking and registration information:
Places are limited to Kilkenny based groups and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
A maximum of two participants from one organisation can attend.
